The Systems Software Developer is responsible for developing automation/systems applications, typically on standard hardware. They will focus on developing high quality software and on solving reported software defects.
The Systems Software Developer shall follow the company guidelines processes and procedures.
In Emerson terminology the Systems Software Engineer is focused on Automation and Systems level components. This includes design, programming and implementation of automation solutions involving PLCs (CodeSys or similar), Linux controllers using a variety of fieldbus technologies. Experience with Marine applications will be a plus, but not required.

IN THIS ROLE:
• You will manage all the project activities
• You will implement the software architecture in the source code.
• You will analyze and design of the overall software architecture of a system that fulfills the requirements. Also, you will be responsible of the design of the software architecture of a system component that fulfills the functional and non-functional requirements. And you will make technical decisions regarding the implementation of changed or new functionality.
• Manage the requirement specification and verify the fulfilment of all requirements. Also, you will manage the requirement changes throughout the project.
• You will test and release: document and perform the unit test; the sub system test; the integration test.
• You will update requirement, analyze, design, user and other documentation.
• You will provide last line support to other departments and also keep yourself updated with all developments in the field.
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
• Education:
Technical education on university, electronic engineering, information technology, computer scientist or equivalent through working experience.
• Experience:
Minimum 3 years working experience with real time systems.
• Languages:
Good skills in English is a must, verbal, as well as writing.
