We are looking for a Head of Manufacturing Concepts to join this journey.
With direct reference to our Head of Advanced Manufacturing, you will become a part of the management team within Advanced Manufacturing. The team, which is a part of our Supply Chain, is divided into four functions: Lean, Process & Analysis, Manufacturing Concepts and SC Projects. – in total 40 highly skilled employees, working across the entire Supply Chain and in close collaboration with R&D and Product Management in Kamstrup.
You will head up Manufacturing Concepts, which is a global development function. The department is responsible for developing production concepts, automated processes, end-to-end production flow, and at the same time prepare business cases to support continued development. You will be leading a team of 9 employees who handle all development tasks from hardware design, system architecture, Virtual reality, production development, and modular and sustainable measures. Together, we work to support Kamstrup's growth and to ensure the uniform development of our production equipment and optimization of core manufacturing processes across factories.
A job focused on developing new solutions on a global scale It will be your responsibility to lead the team in developing new manufacturing concepts to the benefit of Kamstrup. This includes setting the direction for Supply Chain within these areas, developing them and stopping activities when needed. This also regarding relations between these and other development areas of Kamstrup. The department has a global responsibility and when developing solutions, this needs to be taken into account by involving local operational departments in designs and decisions. It is vital in this role to make sure that employees in the department are motivated and effective in solving the tasks at hand.
More specifically, your tasks include:
• Implement relevant strategic objectives in own function
• Report to relevant stakeholders on strategic and tactical issues
• Follow Operating System in own area
• Maintain an overview of critical production technologies
• Develop new production technologies relevant for Kamstrup
• Identify or develop manufacturing concepts for new products and recommend GO/NO GO in gate-decisions
• Move Supply Chain towards a sustainable future
• Develop and motivate employees with focus on target setting, performance management, personal development, group development, and sparring
You can expect around 5-10 travel days per year.
Personality matters
We are looking for a skilled leader with 5+ years of experience, preferably from the field of mass customization. You hold a degree in Engineering or similar. To succeed in this position, you must have some knowledge about electronics and assembly processes, and it is an advantage if you have experience with development projects in a production context.
As a person, you are a clear leader who communicates your message well at different levels of the organization. You master stakeholder management with peers both in Supply Chain and other parts of Kamstrup. Your way of working is characterized by a fact-based approach, with structure and result orientation when setting goals and completing tasks. It comes naturally to you to delegate and empower employees.
You have a global mindset, and it is a requirement that you master Danish and English fluently in writing and speaking.
