Our client, cReal Foods AB, is a small food-tech company with unique oat processing technology based on over 40 years of innovation, enabling sustainable and cost-efficient plant-based nutrition alternatives to current animal derived sources. The company has established a solid platform to drive commercialization based on patented technology with strong potential but needs the right candidate to take the business to the next level and grow to be a market leader. The position is a new role based on the need of strengthening quality management, environmental focus and health and safety aspects in the operations of the business. The Quality Manager will work closely with the CEO and other supply chain functions, and the role gives substantial opportunities to grow and develop the business. The successful candidate will lead a journey of rolling out superior quality and minimally processed plant-based products serving some of the leading regional and global food brands. The main responsibilities and tasks are:
The position offers a broad exposure to every phase in the production from receiving the raw material until final production and quality control of distribution. You will be working to ensure and document quality within formulations, technologies, tailor-made solutions, and you will be involved in a wide variety of customer and internal projects in a challenging environment where two days are never alike.
Your profile
Besides a theoretical foundation within food science or a related field, you have relevant supervisory or managerial experience from food production including quality system responsibility. Your experience from and knowledge of food industry related quality, environment and health and safety systems is highly prioritized.
On a personal level you are comfortable in a leading role with significant responsibilities, and you apply a senior approach to your responsibilities and tasks enabling you to make difficult decisions. You are a team player but also able to demand that people deliver to you.
To thrive and have success in the role it is important that you possess great interpersonal skills. You are customer oriented in your approach and you are professional in your behavior and communication. Good communication skills in English – written and spoken – are required.
A proactive and flexible approach and ability to apply structure in an environment where two days are not alike is a necessity. So is a flexible home base which allows you to travel and to be present when customers or other circumstances calls for it.

- Heading the development and implementation of all quality, environment and health and safety systems
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer requirements – including audits
- Providing training in food safety and quality policies and procedures and foster teamwork
- Reporting to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality or personnel safety.
- Taking the lead in product specifications
- Setting the standard for raw material analysis and ensuring raw material origin documentation
- Processing claims
- Answering questionnaires from customers
