Are you ready to take on the pivotal role of leading and facilitating global project implementations at the heart of the Maersk Project Logistics (MPL) product family? We're seeking a dynamic individual to establish, lead and drive the rollout and continuous improvement of business implementation processes across our MPL product ecosystem as well as act as project manage the global implementation of our operating platform, cargowise. Role: Global Head of Project Implementation – Maersk Project Logistics

Location: Flexible across EU

As the Global Head of Project Implementation, you'll be the driving force to ensure a smooth customer experience and timely delivery of the transition between planning and go live execution of large-scale internal and external projects. For external business implementation, you will act as the link between our solution design and operations teams across the regions to ensure robust implementation and mobilization plans are built and executed in line with commitments to our customers. For internal MPL projects, you will build and execute the project plans, including relevant stakeholder management across functions and regions.

From coordinating resources and timelines to fostering collaboration across teams, you'll play a pivotal role in turning ideas into reality. Your Accountabilities:

  • Establishing global MPL External/Internal Business and Project implementation methodology, tools, and reporting standards.
  • Ensuring project delivery on time and in-full, with successful Go Live and no critical negative impact to the business.
  • Obtaining sign-off on Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Project Implementation Charter with project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Overseeing successful stress testing and hypercare processes.
  • Conducting post-handoff review and first invoicing process with the customer.
  • Ensuring compliance with commercial terms and QHSE policy relevant to the project scope.


Responsibilities:

Project Organization and Planning:

  • Develop clear project implementation charters with operational readiness KPIs.
  • Drive global preparation and setup, including resource management, procurement framework, and stress testing.
  • Convene project implementation teams and manage steering committees.
  • Develop and maintain project implementation plans to meet company and customer expectations.


Implementation Management & Communication:

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and establish a reporting cadence for project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Adapt Maersk Project Implementation methodology to provide clear project visibility.
  • Represent the company's interests and build rapport with customers and external stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback and share best practices for future enhancements to our implementation processes and tools.
  • Conduct project implementation lessons learned and handover to Operations upon project completion.


Who You Are:

  • You're a natural leader who inspires respect, trust, and camaraderie, motivating others to reach project objectives with enthusiasm.
  • You have good general knowledge across the business of how we operate and what our logistics process flow looks like.
  • With boundless energy and a proactive mindset, you're a self-starter who thrives on taking initiative and driving projects forward, always ready to tackle challenges head-on.
  • You're known for your knack for problem-solving and your ability to communicate effectively, ensuring smooth collaboration and seamless execution.
  • Having PMP or similar project management training/certification is a big plus, showcasing your commitment to excellence in project management.
  • Having experience in freight forwarding and with cargowise is and advantage
  • Multilingual fluency is a welcomed asset, adding a valuable dimension to our diverse and inclusive team.
  • Your advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Word make you a tech-savvy asset to any project team, bringing efficiency and expertise to the table.
