Within Blades R&D we develop wind turbine blades for
[xxxxx]’s products and the associated tools for transporting and installing the blades.
Responsibilities - Report to the VP, Solution Owner – Blades and serve as the Product Manager (SAFe role) for a major blade platform, leading a Blade Agile Release Train (ART)
- Define and own the vision and roadmap for the ART, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and long‑term product strategy
- Manage and prioritize the ART backlog, balancing scope, timelines, and value delivery. Ensure commitments are met by working closely with customers, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams
- Drive end‑to‑end product ownership, covering new technology development, performance enhancements, cost‑out initiatives, and quality improvements across the platform lifecycle
- Lead without direct authority, guiding and influencing a Release Train of approximately 50–100 engineers to achieve strategic objectives and deliver high‑value increments
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize customer value, ensure transparency, and continuously improve ART performance
Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience in blade design, blade manufacturing, new product introduction (NPI), or experience from the automotive industry
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with SAFe and Systems Engineering is beneficial
- Technical understanding of blade engineering, materials, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to guide industrialization and product maturity
- Demonstrated leadership experience, either through project leadership or people management within an industrial or engineering environment
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across diverse teams and organizational levels
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Competencies - Ability to connect technical decisions with commercial outcomes and contribute to strategic, value‑driven product development
- Proven capability to lead cross‑functional teams, influence without authority, and drive complex initiatives to completion
- Skilled in planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivering high‑quality results in a structured and timely manner
