LOCATION: Hybrid (Based in country with STG operations or offices - BE, NL, DE, DK, PT)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Accurate master data is crucial for maintaining an efficient and reliable supply chain and as continues to grow, we are now seeking to further grow our Transformation and Technology division, with the appointment of a new: Global Head of Product Master Data, who will be responsible for leading all of the international Product Master Data teams that serve the global supply chain of the entire company with both change and migration to new systems, as well as the management, administration and running of these.
The current teams consist of 10-15 colleagues across Europe and Latin-America, and reports directly into the Head of Transformation & Technology.
This is a pivotal role in driving our digital transformation journey and ensuring the seamless setup and management of product master data processes; contributing to our digital transformation journey, and aligning closely to the organization’s SAP ecosystem of platforms to provide best-in-class functionality and services to stakeholders globally.

This is a pivotal role in driving our digital transformation journey and ensuring the seamless setup and management of product master data processes; contributing to our digital transformation journey, and aligning closely to the organization’s SAP ecosystem of platforms to provide best-in-class functionality and services to stakeholders globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the management of all product-related master data globally across 3 main business streams: Machine-rolled cigars (MRC), smoking tobacco (ST), and interim-supporting the Head of Product Master Data for BU Hand-Made Cigars (HMC) until SAP is fully implemented.
- Clarify the purpose, scope and vision of the data maintenance team toward the STG stakeholders.
- Educate stakeholders on the importance of Master Data and promote its relevance across the organization.
- Standardize internal ways of working and deliver according to agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Be the Global Process Owner (GPO) for product master data within STG, working together with the process community to make sure processes are aligned and optimized. Drive standardized global processes for setting up, managing, and maintaining product-related master data, with a focus on service, quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate improvements in our MDG setup (workflow tool for product master data).
- Work closely together with our Data Governance team (which facilitates and defines the rules for our product master data) and the Data Migration team.
- Support dialogues in the cross-functional Product Entity Forum.
- Monitor and report the quality and use of master data in collaboration with Data Governance and the relevant SAP teams.
- Become the key integrator of new businesses, working closely with other teams to ensure a seamless transition.
- Support and resource high-impact transformation projects related to product master data.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Data, Engineering, SAP, Master Data, or relevant subject.
- 7+ years of experience in product master data
- Solid experience and knowledge of SAP environment and the MDG workflow
- Experience in managing (master data) teams and stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through change
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process enhancements
- Motivated individual capable of setting up rules and ensuring alignment
- Solid communication skills and excellent proficiency in English.
