We are looking for an experienced Head of Total Rewards to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of our global compensation and benefits frameworks and programs in Milestone.

About the Team

This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping a competitive and equitable rewards framework that directly supports [xxxxx]’ strategy and helps attract, reward, and retain talents.

The role is a newly established role and will be part of a professional and passionate Global People & Culture team supporting all areas within People & Culture at global, regional and local level. Milestone employs 1,500 employees across 25 countries, headquartered in Denmark.

The role will report to our Chief People & Culture Officer and be part of the People & Culture Leadership team.

  • Design and lead a fair, transparent, and competitive compensation and benefits approach that supports our business strategy.
  • Own job architecture, market benchmarking, and pay structures, using data and collaboration to ensure equitable and competitive rewards across roles and regions.
  • Lead the annual compensation review process, partnering with leaders to deliver consistent pay decisions aligned with performance, budgets, and market trends.
  • Manage executive and leadership compensation, including board-level reporting where required.
  • Ensure simple, compliant, and well-documented compensation processes globally, and promoting consistency across regions.
  • Partner across teams and regions as a trusted advisor, connecting global and local perspectives
  • Lead and develop organizational capability within rewards and manage external vendors and benchmarking providers.
  • 2-3 weeks of travel annually may be required.

  • 6 –10+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, preferable in a global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation benchmarking, salary structures, and incentive design.
  • Practical experience with job evaluation and job analysis frameworks (Mercer or similar preferred) and experience with implementation of job architecture and job levels in a global setting
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems.
  • Professional-level English (written and spoken) in a global work environment
