Then you might be the next Director – Center of Excellence at Global Wind Service working from the company headquarters in Fredericia, Denmark.
Lead and shape a strategic function driving operational excellence globally
Reporting to the COO, you will lead Center of Excellence and a growing team currently consisting of three direct reports. You will be responsible for growing a strong Center of Excellence with clear standards, best practices, governance structures and uniform ways of working across divisions and business units. Your mission is to strengthen operational stability and scalability, predictability and operational performance throughout the company’s value chain, ensuring concrete tools and clear ways of working enabling all projects to be delivered on schedule, on budget and of the right quality through the different business units. You will set the direction, build the strategy and further develop the function, ensuring that Center of Excellence becomes an integrated and recognized part of the organization also taking Center of Excellence to the next level. The role is central in safeguarding compliance, driving continuous improvements, embedding technical excellence and supporting the company’s ambition to maintain industry-leading performance in installation and maintenance services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and international offices, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement across the global organization. Key responsibilities will include:

Technical and commercial mindset combined with strong people management skills
You hold an academic degree, preferably a master’s degree within business, operations or process engineering supplemented by a project management qualification. You bring substantial experience from an international, project-based organization within wind, large-scale infrastructure or another complex construction industry. You understand the dynamics of large-scale project execution, and you have a proven track record within operational LEAN in a matrix organization with cross-functional capabilities across countries. You are motivated by building and accelerating a function that enables the business to operate and excel in a more standardized, stable and efficient way, and you thrive in a matrix organization with many interfaces. You communicate clearly, navigate cultural differences with ease and collaborate confidently across all levels of the business. As a person you are structured, analytical and data-driven, and you naturally focus on efficiency, process stability and removing unnecessary complexity. At the same time, you bring flexibility, pragmatism and a solution-oriented mindset needed in a global organization, and your management style is passionate, flexible and driving by performance. Finally, you are fluent in spoken and written English.

- Anchoring of an operational LEAN driven mindset within the operational management team and ensuring implementation and continued use of operational LEAN ways of working across all projects
- Driving project efficiency across business divisions and ensuring a unified way of working
- Being responsible for continuous improvement of operational processes including being the owner of operational procedures and processes
- Ensuring operational excellence that supports improved margins and reduces project risks
- Being responsible for the internal Lessons Learned process, ensuring continuous performance improvements and best-in-class service delivery also driving down cost
- Owning and driving the digital agenda in operations as a priority and implementing solutions in collaboration with our highly professional IT team
