About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and visionary department manager to lead our newly established Modular Design department.
The department will be part of a newly established Engineering Model Transformation area which is responsible for setting direction for ’s digital strategy, AI strategy, and frame the future best practice around our engineering work. The area will create the basis for creating new and intelligent data driven design models, which will support an even more efficient cross-disciplinary design and faster project execution.
You and your team will plays a key role in exploring, testing and developing the future digital tools and modular product architectures that will enable a more efficient way of designing pharma facilities. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, for being at the for-front of doing more digital and automised engineering, supporting professional growth of your team members, and ensuring high-quality delivery into our projects.
The position requires that you are based in Denmark or are willing to relocate while you build the department in close corporation with the rest of the management team in the Engineering Model Transformation area.

As department manager for Modular Design, your daily work will be diverse and impactful. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of engineers and specialists and foster strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, IT, procurement, and project teams
- Setting goals and priorities for configuration tool development and modularization efforts
- Supporting the implementation and integration of configuration platforms (e.g., Tacton CPQ), and other platforms and tools supporting modular engineering
- Ensuring alignment between configuration solutions and discipline/project needs, driving continuous improvement and innovation in digital engineering practices
- Build and support strong collaboration with our colleagues across the entire organization, including India and US
- Stay informed on trends within modularization, digitalization, configuration etc. to enable smarter, faster, and more integrated ways of working

- Degree in mechanical, industrial, design engineering, or a similar technical field
- Have Proven experience in leading development teams
- Are familiar with configuration platforms (e.g., Tacton CPQ) and system integration
- Have worked in the pharmaceutical, process, construction, or life science industry
- Solid understanding of product architecture, standardization, and complexity management
