Right now, EPOS is seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our dynamic and innovative team. At EPOS we believe in premium quality in everything we do to give our customers a perfect sound experience, supreme wearing comfort and a genuine design of our headsets.
EPOS designs, manufactures, and sells high-end audio and video solutions for business professionals around the world.
Your new team and your contribution
As our new Application & Mobile Architect, you will become part of a team responsible for developing all high-level PC, MAC, Thin Client & Mobile applications. You will work in an agile environment alongside other domain architects, solution architect and skilled product owners, developers, and product management team. This position is based at our HQ office in Industriparken 27, Ballerup, close to Malmparken train station. However, we value a healthy work-life balance and therefore offer a flexibility with the option for work-from-home two days a week.
Being an architect, you will also become a member of the cross disciplinary architect group. As we both do hardware, embedded software and DSP development and develop end-to-end solutions (not components), architects align on a frequent basis. Often cross competence compromises need to be made. The ideal candidate will be able to embrace this and see the broader picture.
You will be part of high-level software development department in a global R&D organization. Part of the development is done by offshore partners located in India maximizing the execution power. We are working closely with them, and we are in constant dialog with our colleagues in India, visiting regularly, to enhance collaboration and align technical decisions. As an architect it is your responsibility to help coach on development and maintenance of working methods, processes and tools.
The scope of the position
Your primary focus will be EPOS Connect software to configure office headsets in PC, MAC, Thin Clients, and Mobile applications. The projects are similar in nature and a baseline architecture exists, but we need to further strengthen this to be ready for the future.
We have a lot of interconnected software, and you will work closely with architect colleagues - making sure that everything is aligned using the same guidelines and that designs are conveyed to the developers. As you will work with our competent product owners, developers, consultants as well as stakeholders, good people skills are required.
It is important to stress that you are not alone in this. We work closely as a team - and the team is responsible for delivering! Every architect, developer, and product owner pitch in with individual skills to secure the best possible outcome.

In this position, we expect you to:
- Work closely with our other architects – Cloud, embedded SW, DSP, Solution architects etc. - to secure optimal end-to-end solutions
- Define the domain software architecture, including high-level design, components, and interfaces, based on roadmap understanding.
- Provide technical leadership guiding teams in the implementation of best practices and design patterns - Balancing efficiency and effective solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, third party tools, and IP
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into requirements, create detailed technical design documents, architectural diagrams, and guidelines.
- To ensure conformity of methods, standards, and norms in the competence area and across projects and teams
- Oversee the implementation of process to ensure adherence to the defined architecture, coding standards, quality standards, and resolve technical challenges.
- Implement security measures, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Anticipates future industry trends and emerging technologies.
Your qualifications:
- A degree at BA level or above in SW engineering
- 7+ years of work experience with PC/MAC/Linux application development/architecture
- Development experience in C++.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, software design patterns, and architectural styles.
- Excellence in architecture for distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, software architecture patterns, and domain-based architecture.
- Technical leadership, facilitation, and communication skills to effectively convey architectural decisions.
- Proven track record with Agile development
- Good communication skills in English – company language is English
- Background as developer - to make designs for developers, you need to have walked in their shoes
Furthermore, you might also come with these qualifications:
- Knowledge of product development - physical devices - is an advantage
- Experience in development of Mobile Applications.
- Experience in Flutter and Dart programming.
- Experience in Full Stack Development.
- Experience in guiding and managing offshore teams
- Knowledge of Big data, analytics and IoT is an advantage
- Inter-process/program communications
