Define architecture and guide, motivate and inspire to break new ground
You will lead platform engineering activities and when the platform is in place transfer into a Data Services Lead role. More specifically, you will architect robust data solutions and be the guiding light that ensures a shared dedication to quality and innovation in the engineering team. Your work will be used in applications for e.g. smart cities, healthcare technology, security and much more. We are unashamedly ambitious!
Define architecture and guide, motivate and inspire to break new ground
Your primary tasks will be to:
Spearhead platform development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Define the technical architecture and select appropriate tech stacks.
Code hands-on in cloud friendly languages like Go and Python.
Build, manage and optimize data ingress, standardization, and curation pipelines.
Supervise and automate data annotation and anonymization.
Develop and implement a holistic machine learning training pipeline.
Implement and manage solutions using cloud or third-party services.
As a foundation for your engineering efforts, you will work closely with Product Managers to align engineering needs with product goals as wells as partner with our internal colleagues e.g. R&D and external partners.
Experience within data engineering and motivation for people management
As you will have a leading role in a highly ambitious development team, you must thrive on setting direction and be able to do so in an inspiring and mentoring way. This spans keeping track of the overall picture while ensuring attention to details. As part of this, you must be able to break down complex assignments into tangible tasks and be curious to find new ways. As you will work together with non-technical colleagues, you must like to create results based on collaboration and be able to explain complex technical stuff in a way that makes sense. Additionally, you can tick off the following skills:
Experience within data engineering and motivation for people management
Solid experience within data engineering.
Solid experience in cloud architecture, with a preference for AWS.
Coding skills in languages like Python, Go, or other cloud-friendly languages.
Hands-on experience with platforms such as Databricks, Dataiku, Palantir or Sagemaker.
Agile experience and motivation to continuously improve the agile way of working.

You will join approx. 10 good colleagues in a fast-growing and very international team that besides the engineering core counts profiles across marketing, sales and more. We all share an entrepreneurial mindset and a firm belief in that we can break new ground to the benefit of the world. We work on a foundation of trust, collaboration and flexibility. Ideally, your base will be within regular travelling distance of our HQ in Copenhagen or our Madrid office but if you are the right profile, other options are possible.
