As our Financial Risk & Compliance Manager, you are a trusted advisor and business partner and provide insights and support decision making to drive business performance. You are part of a team of Financial Controlling & Reporting specialists. You work closely with our management teams and key global stakeholders. You will be based at our headquarters in Ballerup and report directly to the Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting.

Key responsibilities.

As Financial Risk & Compliance Manager, you will quickly build an international professional network through daily contact with a range of departments across functions and geographies within the Ambu Group. You will become an integral part of our risk-based internal control environment and framework with the following key responsibilities:

  • Improvement of the Group internal financial control framework to ensure consistency across the Ambu Group;
  • Identify key activities, fraud and financial reporting risks;
  • Evaluate the control design, implementation and effectiveness of controls covering all group divisions;
  • Ensure compliance with the ITGC requirements, compliance requirements and other rules and regulations;
  • Support affiliates in improving and strengthening the internal control setup;
  • Be a change ambassador driving the continuous development of internal control culture in the 1st line of defence;
  • To develop, track and implement action plans to close issues/identified control deficiencies;
  • Conduct controlling visits and desktop reviews;
  • Prepare and continuous update guidelines, best practice sharing and provide training/workshops;
  • Be part of preparing reporting to Management, Audit Committee and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Ad hoc assignments as required to support the business including e.g. participation in fraud investigations, acquisitions or strategic projects.

Key competences.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant master’s degree in accounting, auditing or finance, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification combined with minimum 3-4 years of professional experience from a similar position.

You have an analytical and structural approach to your work but also apply logic and pragmatic thinking. You are committed to deliver results and meeting deadlines.

You are devoted to meet expectations from our global organization, and you enjoy taking ownership and responsibility, working in teams and delivering a quality product. Your analytical skills enable you to keep focus on, and deal with, complex issues. You are a strong communicator and an acknowledged team player with high degree of personal integrity.

You have a positive attitude and outspoken collaboration skills. In addition to this you have excellent skills in Excel. As our corporate language is English, you must be fluent in both oral and written English. You must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
