Exciting opportunity as Senior Compliance Manager to shape the future of Business Ethics Compliance in an international, growing pharmaceutical company.

The position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join our Corporate Affairs & Legal team, a geographically diverse, engaged, and informal team that values skills, knowledge creation, pragmatism, and integrity.

This role offers the unique opportunity to set the direction, lead the development and implementation of our global compliance framework, ensuring our business meets regulatory requirements and embodies our core values of integrity and ethical behavior locally and globally.

As Senior Compliance Manager, you set the direction and ambitions for our way of thinking about compliance, our compliance approach in business, collaboration and organization. You work independently and in collaboration with different stakeholders across ALK. You are close to the decision-making processes and, therefore, able to contribute significantly to ALK’s future success. You will refer to the VP of Corporate Affairs & Legal.

What you will do:

  • Set the direction for compliance/our compliance organization and our way of working with compliance in ALK
  • Continuously seeking and being well-updated about global compliance trends
  • Be in the front of implementing future compliance initiatives for us to meet future internal and external compliance requirements
  • Lead the development and implementation of a global comprehensive compliance framework aligned with our long-term objectives
  • Design, enhance and maintain initiatives, processes, and policies within ALK’s Code of Conduct, including anti-corruption, sanctions, and vendor due diligence
  • Identify and mitigate risks through compliance program evaluations and risk assessments
  • Support compliance reviews and monitor third-party relationships
  • Review compliance laws and resolve compliance questions, issues and concerns
  • Carry out internal monitoring and auditing for policy compliance
  • Manage investigations of cases reported through our whistle-blower function Alertline and propose remediation
  • Plan and execute compliance training/awareness to foster a culture of integrity and awareness across the organization
  • Serve as the secretary to our Global Compliance Committee, playing a pivotal role in shaping the compliance agenda in ALK

Your profile
Your qualifications are a minimum of 5 years’ experience with business ethics and/or compliance programs, which you may have gained from a global compliance function, alternatively from working as an external advisor. You will work across different business areas, functions, borders and cultures, which is why organizational flair is a key skill.

You have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Compliance, Legal/Law, or similar relevant education. You must be skilled in project management and have experience with driving and executing projects in a global matrix organization, since you will be working independently with many stakeholders across different levels and countries.

You are a person with a proactive, curious and positive mindset. You are open-minded and thrive in navigating in a dynamic and international environment. You are a natural initiator, able to prioritize and establish timelines and structures in your work. You have a can-do attitude, possess integrity and a good understanding of stakeholder management.

Travelling: A limited amount must be expected.
