The role as Operations manager offers a great opportunity to be part of a building a winning team and be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our increased focus on Project Logistics. You will be part of a European team as desire to deliver best in class service, effective communication, cost awareness and continuous performance which supports our growth aspirations and the success of our customers within Project Logistics.
The position is located in Aarhus, Denmark.
Key responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, you will be a part of a team of 70 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Special Project Logistics product in Europe, where we strive to deliver the best service for our customers.
The position requires an entrepreneurial mindset with initial task of building on the team across Europe.
Together with your team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.
Your main responsibilities will, among others, be:
• Manage an existing team with a European footprint initial 6-8 employees
• Coordination and planning of solutions for our global customer via your team
• Project coordination and execution, including on ground supervision via your team
• Leading the Continuous improvement towards our customers

Our ideal candidate is innovative, self-driven person with a can-do attitude, well organized with good stakeholder management skills in a complexed environment. You strive in a collaborative role being the leader and motivator for a team incl direct leaders. We value our unique team and are looking for someone who shares our vision of teamwork being the backbone of all we do.
The strong candidate has:
- Proven Leadership skills
- Experience from building teams would be an advantage
- Experience from Project execution is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written fluency in English
- A collaborative mindset with a “can do” attitude
- Eagerness to be best in class and part of a winning team
- Ability to be flexible when needed as our job is not always 8-16
- Ability to travel approx. 10-15 days a year
