Our Hardware Development group develops wired and wireless battery driven electronics for our best-in-class performance audio products. We work in cross-functional project teams with SW, Acoustics, Mechanical and Production engineers. In your daily work you will therefore always have many technical interfaces and enhance your engineering skills and knowledge.
Lead the HW aspects of delivering solutions into our projects
This position is about technical leadership and guidance, and you will take the lead on the technical aspects of delivering HW concept/solutions into projects. Together with your colleague Lead HW Engineers in Device Development, our team in China & suppliers, you will drive the HW part of the project deliveries such as Schematics, Layout, BOM and component verification, test scope and planning, and prototype build verification.
You will ensure that EPOS HW solutions are compatible and fit into our product families covering headsets, video solutions and speakerphones.
Working with our front-end technology projects
As the Experienced Lead Hardware Engineer, you will take the lead from the hardware perspective and be responsible for hardware specifications in our early development phase. Working with our R&D partner-based technology projects, you will track and investigate several technologies, so we understand and integrate the right technologies in our products and deliver the best user-experience.
You will ensure “proof of concept” for critical concepts and provide demonstrators where validation is crucial before executing the project. Together with our suppliers and 3’rd party test houses in China, you will ensure defined hardware quality targets are kept throughout the project, by close follow up and definitions of test protocols and test plans for the project that will be executed in corporation with our external partners.
Who we are looking for
You bring a solid technical foundation in electronics design, and you can define the hardware architectures and requirements for future products, in close collaboration with other technology groups and partners.
You will participate in the product development processes from the early workshops to final concepts. We expect that you are skilled in planning and coordinating hardware development activities in an international project setup with several stakeholders, internally and externally.
You know your way using various lab test equipment and able to solder up test version models for various product related inhouse testing required in the projects.

- 5+ years of experience in audio/wireless consumer hardware development
- Wireless & wired systems knowledge (USB-C)
- Hardware architectures design and systems requirements
- Desirable knowledge in one or more fields: Audio, DECT, Bluetooth, Li-ion Batteries, USB, RF
- Product Development from concept to scale with global partners
- Hardware/Software integration/collaboration and testing support
- Mechanical/Acoustical integration/collaboration and testing support
