Coop Trading is a Nordic purchasing organization that, on behalf of Coop in the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and SOK in Finland) negotiates Nordic agreements and develops goods for our Private Brands portfolio. The portfolio includes both food and daily non-food products within Xtra, Coop and Änglamark.

Our new Head of communication will be referring directly to our CEO and is responsible for managing and directing Coop Trading’s internal and external communication. The role involves handling all aspects of communication and publicity of Coop Trading and the Head of Communication ensures that Coop Trading is presented positively for the benefits of both our brands, owners, employees, and future employees.
As the role is newly established you will have the opportunity to help shape the role and its content.

As the role is newly established you will have the opportunity to help shape the role and its content.
Your primary tasks:
- Developing and execution on Coop Trading’s communication strategy with focus on both internal and external activities and stakeholders
- Ensure that overall communication is aligned with Coop Trading’s messaging and communication strategy
- Lead the Communication Strategy and execute on deliverables through presentations, web content, social media and newsletters etc.
- Establish a Nordic communication network with Coop in the Nordics
- Create and share the good stories around our products with the Nordic countries
- Support the management team on more clear communication
- Employer Branding together with our People & Culture department
- Establish a year cycle for communication
- Contribute to our internal activities e.g. our yearly Culture Day
- Leading training and development activities for employees within communication
Your professional qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- A minimum of +5 years of experience with a focus on strategy, communications, and branding
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Strong project management and Stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and knowledge of the Nordic languages
- Excellent PowerPoint skills, along with experience in working with Word, Excel etc.
