You will be a part of [xxxxx] Ireland, but you will also work closely with the HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark. You will become familiar with technical as well as financial and administrative details of our renewable energy assets and manage internal and external workstreams.

Your New Role- Accelerate Your Career


Our project pipeline in Ireland is in rapid growth and seeks an experienced Renewable Energy Development Lead for our activities in greenfield and existing pipeline projects. You will be hands-on in many technical, organizational, and commercial aspects and will form a key part of the Irish team.

You will become our lead greenfield project developer across a range of technologies, and manage our pre-construction activities on brownfield (consented) acquisitions. In cooperation with your highly experienced and motivated commercial, legal, and technical colleagues, you will contribute to originating and assessing the feasibility and potential of projects and bringing them to the ready-to-build stage. This will involve interaction with land, planning, environmental and technical service providers and management of interactions with our development partners, as well as seeking out new opportunities in the Irish market.

[xxxxx] Ireland has a number of projects in later stages of development with an intent to bring these through construction and as such will need to bring them through late developmental / pre-construction activities. You have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate with local suppliers, service, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include


  • Take the lead on development of our Renewable Energy projects in Ireland from an early stage through the investment decision and handover to the construction & operations team
  • Coordinate project managers and interdisciplinary project teams with internal departments and external service providers
  • Participate in due diligence reviews of existing projects at various stages of development
  • Originate new projects using market knowledge, in-house tools and your network connectivity
  • Manage existing agreements with external developers
  • Manage the permitting process on multiple projects and coordinate the team of involved internal and external providers and interact with all relevant stakeholder
  • Oversee execution of land lease agreements with farmers and other landowners

Your Profile


  • You have a bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Planning, Science or Project Management
  • You have 5+ years renewable energy development experience preferably including; landowner interactions, planning permission development, technical due diligence, project M&A, the Irish electricity grid and grid application process, tendering and procurement, management of multiple projects and team members
  • You have excellent initiative, communication and reporting skills
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • You are familiar with MS Excel modelling, GIS and may have experience with project management tools

Location: Flexible and remotely but your 'home' location will preferably be close to Cork. Travel to project sites around Ireland will also form part of the role.
