About the department You will be a part of our Test & Automation Development team within Manufacturing Development in Injectable Finished Products (IFP). Your primary working location will be at our Innovation Lab in Bagsværd with close collaboration and support to our Innovation Hub in Kalundborg. Our mission is to minimize/or eliminate human interventions during the manufacturing of our injectable products as well as optimize capacity by means of robotics and automation solutions. In the team, you will work together with automation and robotics engineers, automation technicians and skilled workers. In the department, you will also work with a broad range of different professions together with external partners covering a wide range of disciplines. The position Your overall objective is to conceive and develop automated solutions to optimize our manufacturing by means of traditional automation and robotics. In collaboration with mechanical engineers and experts, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of prototypes and innovative solutions within processes that today are handled manually or automation setups that can be optimized (e.g. PLC logic). No challenge is too big, and you have a ‘Yes I can’ mindset. You will as an automation resource in projects act as a Tech lead/WPA (work package owner) or give inputs as an expert within your area. You will also be collaborating with suppliers and setting direction for the prototype design after testing, ensuring the right solution and supporting the final design to be ready for implementation on our global production network, and ensuring that the needed technical documentation and requirements are met. As we are supporting our global production network, some travel is expected. We have a strong focus on the development of our employees, and we expect you to prioritize and drive your own development with the support of your manager. You are expected to have a role as either a mentor or buddy for either a colleague or one of your student workers. In manufacturing development, we have a close collaboration with universities, and we have many interns and students working with us. Qualifications You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation or have extensive knowledge about automation from your current role Experience and a proven track record within traditional automation tools such as PLC Knowledge of other production-related systems e.g.: SCADA You have an innovative and solution-oriented mindset You work systematically and with the ability to develop and implement practical actions to deal with issues Proficient oral and written communications skills in English Knowledge of GMP and new technology is desirable, but not essential.
