Then you can be one of our process engineers for API manufacturing in Novo Nordisk. About the department As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all API for Novo Nordisk’s products. You will be assigned to Insulin Manufacturing 2 (IM2), the oldest production area in Kalundborg. You will be employed in IM2 Bioprocess Improvement-Optimization (IM2 BIO & Lean), a group established in October 2020. The team currently consists of 10 people, who are working with advanced model-based approaches for understanding and designing Bioprocesses of the future. In IM2 BIO we have a problem-solving mindset where we work in a dynamic environment to convert engineering challenges into opportunities. We tackle these challenges through Multiscale Modelling where we have activities in Process Intelligence, Mechanistic Modelling, Process Control Modelling, Capacity Modelling and Supply Chain Optimization Modelling. Briefly, we aim to navigate a complex design and decision space for each of the scales on the multiscale. As our new colleague you will be joining us in a new aspect of Supply Chain Optimization, where the focus will be on identifying optimization potentials in IM2’s supply chain. Therefore, advance data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for process improvements-optimizations are crucial. The position
We are looking for someone who is motivated by and enjoys working in a project environment, analyzing data, and stakeholder management. Specifically, you will: Be IM2’s liaison to external supply chain improvement-optimization projects Implement and change-manage these projects in IM2 Analyze data for extracting correlation and causation for process understanding Use a data-based approach for quantifying supply chain improvement-optimization potentials Use a team-based approach for recommending supply chain improvements-optimizations This job gives you a great opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of bioprocessing across the organization, in close collaboration with teach-transfer and manufacturing in Novo Nordisk. Required Qualifications An MSc in chemical, industrial or mathematical engineering or a BSc plus 2-3 years’ experience Ability to analyze data and independently extract information Understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby, explain the purpose to get everyone onboard An appetite for solving complex problems applying a systems approach to manage complexity and reach a feasible applicable solution Experience with project execution Proficient communication skills Desired Qualifications Experience with process design, process optimization and/or operations research Experience with process software systems like OMP, SAP, LIMS, PI, Tableau
