General Counsel - KOMPAN A/S
We are searching for a new colleague who is looking for exciting legal challenges in the role of General Counsel at KOMPAN. You will become part of an ambitious, growth-oriented, and successful company. You are a business focused attorney or company lawyer with strong communication skills. You will be our internal partner to our Group management team as well as our global companies.
Legal counsel across business areas and country borders
In this role, your main priority is to provide legal counsel of high quality. You will be responsible for general legal counsel to our management team at Group level. By default, you are a generalist who enjoys working within a range of diverse areas including monitoring local legislation and assessing its potential impact on KOMPAN’s operations. You can identify legal risks and develop strategies to manage them.
You will collaborate with many stakeholders advising on potential legal implications of business decisions.

Your profile
You are most likely educated Cand.jur., LL.M. (Master of Law) or similar. You could be working in a global company today as an attorney / lawyer or with a law firm. Our Group language is English - hence you are used to communicating in Danish and English both orally and in writing.
Your approach to your work life is positive, service-minded, and flexible. You are a skilled communicator who prefers a varied workday with many different tasks and priorities. The list of daily tasks demands that you have a focus on details and structure.
Our HQ is in Odense. Flexibility in this role allows you to work from your office in Odense combined with working from home.

KOMPAN is the global leader in outdoor play and fitness areas. Our purpose is to create healthier and happier communities through play and active living. The KOMPAN Group's main activity is the development, production, and sale of playgrounds, outdoor sports, and fitness facilities. In addition, the company sells service and installation services in connection with product sales.
KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 playgrounds or fitness sites every month somewhere across 90 countries. Of these, 23 countries do so through KOMPAN’s own direct operation and the remainder through carefully selected quality agents and partners. The global head office is in Odense, Denmark.
The global footprint has expanded significantly over the years and includes production sites in the Czech Republic, design studios in Denmark and the Czech Republic, and 23 country offices around the world including Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America.

- Participate in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
- Claim / Insurance handling.
- Manage and protect the company's intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Handle IP infringement issues, Trademarks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Legal Proceedings.
- Corporate structure and Signing rights.
- Corporate Governance.
- Support on legal HR related matters.
Your profile
