We are looking for an experienced motivating leader for our Financial Shared Service Center, who can secure that our Demant company culture and values continue to be the basis on which we develop, operate, and create value.
At our Financial Shared Service Center in Szczecin in Poland we want to continue the good work done by the former leader and his team. The service center currently delivers financial services for group companies in Europe and North America.
Over the past years significant improvements have been made to our organization and our financial processes. We want to continue this journey and further develop our well-functioning and professional shared service center.
Collaborating across a global finance function
We are a truly Global Finance organization, and we enjoy working closely together. Candidates from both Poland and Denmark are therefore welcome to apply for this position.
As a leader of the Financial Shared Service Center in Szczecin you will be expected to be frequently in both Szczecin and in Smørum in Denmark where our headquarter is located, and travelling between the two locations will therefore often be necessary; regardless of if your permanent position will be in Poland or Denmark.
You will report to the SVP of Group Finance located at the headquarter in Denmark and you will be member of the leadership team for Group Finance with leadership colleagues covering Accounting, Financial- & Business Controlling, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Finance Systems & Processes. In total the finance organization in our headquarter consists of around 45 colleagues.

Tasks and responsibilities
As Director of Financial Shared Services, you will be heading an organization of +120 highly motivated and engaged finance colleagues. You will be supported by a leadership team consisting of an AR manager, AP manager and GL manager.
In your role you will:
Besides leading the Financial Shared Service Center, you will also be responsible for running cross functional projects often together with colleagues in both Poland and Denmark.
You will be expected to share your time between Poland and Denmark with at least 50% of your time in Poland. Expected travelling will therefore be significant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain international experience while staying close to your home.
Traveling between the locations can be done by car & ferry or air in approx. 6-7 hours. Travelling and accommodation while travelling will be company paid and follow local travel rules of your primary location.

You have experience from working in a similar role or at a similar level of finance leadership. You understand the complexities of working in an international environment, and the need for stakeholder management in a service center organization.

- Lead, motivate and develop the leadership team and service center organization
- Ensure that group companies feel and understand the value of what the service center deliver, and through this building the service center’s brand value
- Develop and implement on a roadmap for value adding expansion of the scope and reach of our service center
- Secure smooth migration of activities from group companies to the service center
- Further standardize, professionalize and develop efficiencies in our finance deliveries.
