The position As we are in the midst of introducing cooperation with CMO’s, you will have influence on this strategic project implementation, as well as freedom to further develop. You will work closely with CMOs to ensure the successful implementation of our strategies while fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Although no people leadership is involved, your independent approach and strategic thinking will be instrumental in propelling our organization forward. You can look forward to:
  • Strategic Tasks, such as developing and executing the strategic roadmap for our CMO relationships.
  • Evaluating and implementing CMO partners based on their capabilities, capacity, and ability to support our long-term objectives; as well as managing long-term capacity and risks with CMOs
  • Acting as the key liaison between our company and CMOs, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Providing guidance and support to CMOs in demand planning, production scheduling, and supplier management.
  • Setting up CMO governance and adjusting QMS to ensure CMO performance and adherence to agreed-upon standards.
  • Conducting periodic reviews to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing the implementation and qualification processes for CMOs; collaborating with cross-functional teams to negotiate contractual agreements; setting up governance to monitor CMO performance, while continuously refining operational processes and workflows to drive efficiency and enhance the overall CMO contribution.
  • The job is in the northern part of Køge, just 20 min. drive south of Greater Copenhagen area with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week, on average. Since international collaboration will be part of your job, you can expect to travel around 1-2 weeks per year. Qualifications
    We imagine that a successful candidate will have:
  • An academic degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences).
  • Prior experience in CMO management, including vendor management, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Familiarity with working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment, including experience documenting GMP qualification processes, change management, and deviation handling.
  • Capable of handling uncertainty and changing demands by identifying and challenging stakeholders, hence organizing and creating clarity through project management and meeting/workshop facilitation.
  • Demonstrating ability to think strategically, making independent decisions, as well as excel in communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external CMO partners.
  • Fluency in English.
  • As a person, you are holistic, proactive, dedicated, and have strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex operational challenges and propose innovative solutions. The Department The Inbound Supply team is part of the Supply Chain and Procurement department covering Warehousing, Indirect Procurement and Production Planning. We are a team of 12 professionals, and together we are responsible for vendor management of all raw materials (chemicals and packaging) and process aids for production and for CMOs. As well as for supply and qualification of new materials and/or suppliers in relation to product launches.
