Maintenance Lead - for our brand new Power-to-X facilities

Are you ready to take on a key role in operating, maintaining and optimizing European Energy's first Power-to-X (PtX) production facilities? Your new team and role

As a Maintenance Lead in our growing PtX Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness and efficient operation of our hydrogen production plant in Måde, Esbjerg, and the world’s largest commercial scale E-Methanol production plant at Kassø, Aabenraa. Both of these sites are currently under construction and set to begin production in the second half of 2023.

As Maintenance Lead, you will lead a team of company employed technicians as well as coordinating external contractors. Additionally, you will be required to collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that the plants are running smoothly and to quickly address any issues that may arise. By taking a hands-on approach and working proactively, you will contribute to create a positive and productive work environment for all members of the maintenance team.

Your responsibilities

• Establishing and updating effective maintenance procedures, including planning, scheduling, material support and analysis of cost and performance.
• Providing technical support and staff coordination of maintenance related items.
• Attending to technical issues (breakdown maintenance), including responsibility for contractor safety control.
• To lead, mentor, and develop teams to maximize their performance and engagement.
• Communication with other departments both onsite and offsite to resolve problems, achieve goals and maximize use of resources.
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies.
• Contributing actively to continuous evaluation and improvement of working environment and safety management system.
• Securing the safe work execution in accordance with EE’s Permit To Work system as the main functional responsible within Technical and Maintenance.
• Working closely with leadership team to support continuous improvement activities to improve plant performance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of petrochemical, processing plant, power generation plant, or similar, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role as a team leader with responsibility for work schedule planning and being a motivational driver.
• A deep understanding of mechanical and technical systems and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Proficiency in the use of maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced communication skills in both Danish and English.
