Then join as our new Senior Platform Product Owner for Port Call Planning.
The Opportunity
Port Call Planning relates to coordination pertaining to the planning and execution of a port call among stakeholders - the ocean carrier, terminal operator, port authorities, the captain of the vessel, and other nautical service providers.
You will have the opportunity to define, design, and deliver solutions that have a significant impact on the business and the industry at large. It’s never been a more exciting time to join the leader in global container transport.
To be successful in your role, you are expected to work collaboratively with engineering, UX, functional process owners, operators (our users), and other product teams within the company.
Responsibilities
- Define a product vision and roadmap for port call planning
- Work with the functional process owner and UX to collect and derive user insights through qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories.
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs between user experience, business requirements, technical limitations, and performance.
What you bring
- Experience making product decisions by using quantitative and qualitative data, not gut feel or listening to the loudest voice!
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM software development
- Good business acumen and an ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Great stakeholder management and communication skills to be able to constructively challenge and influence stakeholders when needed.
- Independent and self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment or under ambiguity.
- It would be a great bonus (not a must) if you have experience in shipping or in standardizing operational processes and/or decision making.
