What is your primary project and responsibilities?
This position is in our Business Unit Surveillance & Mission Systems (SMS); dealing with Radar Systems, Naval Solutions, Wind Farm Solutions, Mission Solutions and Critical Infrastructure Protection.
As Senior Project Manager you will be fully responsible for your own projects throughout the project lifecycle. Your projects will be across several application areas within SMS, Mission Solutions and can be both SW and HW oriented projects.
You will be responsible for strategically important and business critical projects/programs with a high degree of complexity. The position entails a high degree of external communication towards important customers and partners, so it is imperative that you understand how to operate in a political landscape.

Key responsibilities:
You will be leading one of our larger programs where you will be responsible and have the authority to run the day-to-day activities, which will include:
- Startup, planning, risk handling, execution, and delivery of your assigned projects according to Terma’s project model.
- Internal stakeholder management and external stakeholder management of customers and partners.
- Resource forecasting of activities in assigned program incl. subprojects.
- Responsibly for program/project cost incl. business case in close cooperation with business controller.
- Responsible for that the projects produces the required deliverables with quality, and within the specified constraints of time and cost. Ensuring, that Terma achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case and/or management plan.
- Progress reporting internal as well as external towards costumer.

How to succeed in this position?
To be successful in this position you should ideally possess the following qualification:
Your professional qualifications:
- MSc. or BSc. in Electronic Engineering or similar relevant education
- Minimum 10 years of project management or similar working experience. PM Certification is a plus.
- Experience with people management in highly technical project management organizations.
- Able to handle HW and SW projects with a high degree of complexity.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrated experience with leading a team to successful results.
- Understand the necessity of coordination, delegation, and follow-up.
- Commercial focus, costumer-oriented and a sound business understanding
- Work independently and can deliver the right scope, on-time and on-budget keeping the customer satisfied.
- Exceptional oral and writing communication skills with the understanding of the importance of reconciling and managing customer expectations through these.
- Fully proficient in written and spoken English.
