About the role
We are looking for an Environmental Specialist to join our team of around 50 passionate professionals in Site HSE & Permit Management. As a team, we are working on improving the health, safety, and environment at our site and eliminating all unsafe work.
As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, your primary focus will be on environmental compliance and sustainability within our construction projects. You’ll work closely with contractors and project teams to ensure that all environmental standards are met – from chemical risk assessments to waste management and environmental audits. Your expertise will help us minimize environmental impact and ensure that all site activities align with both Danish regulations and global environmental standards. This role is perfect for someone with a strong environmental background who is passionate about supporting colleague executing complex engineering projects.

As an Environmental Specialist, you’ll:
- Execute requirements of the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) and ensure that contractors are working accordingly.
- Continuously improve safety standards, environmental guidelines, as per relevant ISO Standards.
- Audit and monitor contractor environmental programs and ensure compliance.
- Investigate incidents and ensure remedial actions are taken.
- Conduct documented environmental assessments of work being performed in alignment with project(s) and Danish work environment requirements.

- Relevant environmental experience in construction (e.g. solid understanding of Safety Data Sheets).
- Relevant experience in conducting chemical risk assessments and managing waste in compliance with regulations is required.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Danish language skills are considered an asset in supporting effective compliance with Danish regulations.
