Sales Manager, Retrofit & Upgrade

As a Sales Manager in MAN Energy Solutions, Retrofit & Upgrade department, you will be joining a department undergoing significant growth focusing on decarbonizing the shipping industry. You will be a valuable part of a sales team consisting of six colleagues backed by some Product Managers and other specialists. The team conducts global activities as the Retrofit Sales Manager represents the retrofit portfolio to all product centers, defined countries/regions, and local offices worldwide.

You will be responsible for driving and securing retrofit sales in a defined region in collaboration with the local sales teams in the PrimeServ International Group Companies located near customers around the world, as well as ensuring global market awareness of our retrofit solutions.

With direct report to Jacob Buur Trærup, Head of Sales, Retrofit & Upgrades, Projects & Products.

Your main tasks are:

  • Sales responsibility for defined countries/regions
  • Sales support to the local Sales Managers
  • Ensuring complete handover of sold projects to the Project Managers
  • Participation in exhibitions and seminars
  • Preparing launch and strategy for new products in collaboration with the Product Managers
  • Participation in planning of global sales strategies for existing as well as new products
  • Ensuring sales training of colleagues in defined countries/regions

Your background is:

  • Sales experience, preferably from within the marine industry combined with a strong technical background. You could be a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar
  • You have excellent English skills both orally and in writing

You are a person with a proactive, self-driven, structured, and quality-oriented approach to assignments. You must possess excellent networking skills, and have the ability to interface at all levels in a dynamic environment.

Traveling: Approximately 20-40 days travelling per year to local offices in Asia.

Domicile: HQ in Copenhagen.
