Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimize their production and distribution of energy and water and was in 2022 awarded with the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s water business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. We are therefore looking for a Systems Architect, who can contribute to the development of our future solutions.
With direct reference to our Head of Systems Architecture, you will become a part of our Systems Architect team consisting of nine dedicated colleagues. Each member of the team focuses on a specific domain where we encourage a high degree of specialization which enables us to be leaders in these different areas. We strive to define the technical agenda in Kamstrup, which is why we work with some of the latest technologies. We are working towards a microservice based application landscape, and you will play a key role in this transformation. As a team, have a great respect for each other’s professional skills and input, we value a good tone and an open dialogue. Leading the team is done with a high degree of trust and is based on mutual respect. Furthermore, you will become part of Kamstrup’s tech-savvy security knowledge-sharing community with 20+ equal-minded colleagues
A job with focus on security and architecture
As a Systems Architect you will have the responsibility for designing a coherent system all the way from the meters to the customer-facing interfaces, ensuring the security of Kamstrup’s current and future software solutions. You will be responsible for driving and applying software security frameworks across multiple products and domains in close collaboration with information security, product management and other architects, which will help you understand changes in legislation, architecture, emerging security threats and trends.

We work with C#, Kafka, .Net Core, SQL, Kubernetes, containers, and continuous delivery, which is why expertise in one or more of these is an advantage.
To succeed in this position, you must be driven by a desire to make a change and not be afraid of taking the lead when doing so. As you will have many stakeholders across the organization you excel in stakeholder management and are able to motivate others. Your mindset is characterized by being a team player, why you also believe that good solutions are created in daily cooperation with your colleagues.
You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage.

You will be responsible for driving and applying software security frameworks across multiple products and domains in close collaboration with information security, product management and other architects, which will help you understand changes in legislation, architecture, emerging security threats and trends.

- Identify new requirements in designing common security components, helping us to improve developer experience when working with security
- Support development teams in implementing common security components
- Coaching and educating developers in how to build secure software
- Be the expert for other colleagues when conducting security risk assessments
Personality matters
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Systems Architect who is ready to take the next step in their career. There are many entry points to this position, but we imagine that you have:
- A professional background in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- At least 2 years of experience as a Senior Software Developer
- Experience with relevant standards and technologies (E.g., OAuth2, SAML, OIDC, Azure AD, NIS2, IEC62443)
- Public key infrastructures knowledge (E.g., X.509 certificate chains)
- Experience with domain driven design and microservice based architecture
