[xxxxx] is on the hunt for an innovative and empowering Director who will progress and steer our organization from executive roles to operational teams, aiming for heightened overall unity.

Exciting opportunity as Director

We have worked intensively with Lean and come far. We are still in the process of maturing the use of Lean in our organization and want to develop further.

Your overall responsibility is to drive the development of the Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) across the [xxxxx] Hearing Aid, Global Operations value chain.

Your time can roughly be divided into:

  • 30% defining direction – improve the GMS transformation across Global Operations
  • 30% training & facilitation – Across Global Operations and beyond.
  • 30% leadership sparring – from Top Management to shopfloor leaders and SMEs.

The job in more details

You will:

  • Co-lead a global community of GMS Partners, who each are responsible for a line function or site. You will be accountable for the strategy and facilitate the continuous implementation by inspiring and coaching the GMS professionals across [xxxxx] Hearing Aid Operations incl. wholesale.
  • Offer coaching and training that enables team members to associate strategic initiatives with tangible GMS performance goals, alongside GMS Partners.
  • Lead and facilitate the Policy Deployment process for [xxxxx] Hearing Aid. You will support the Hearing Aid Leadership team in being successful in the top priority strategic initiatives by GMS way of working and thinking. This is done via large cross functional workshops for 20-30 people, where you ensure a plan is made when leaving.
  • Contribute to a continuously improved documented GMS Academy and Library. You will inspire improvements of the GMS toolbox used for improving processes and mindsets.
  • Facilitate and train cross functional Kaizen events, Problem Solving Processes and workshops utilizing a train-the-trainer concept.
  • Be the GMS Partner for Project Managers on the absolute most important strategic projects.


Your primarily location is Smørum, but you can expect 30-40 travel days a year for exciting places such as Mexico, Australia, USA, and Poland.

You will join the GMS team, which holds two positions in Denmark. Your sidekick has been part of the Global Operations Lean journey from the very beginning and will a be close colleague and sparring partner to you on the continued GMS transformation.

The GMS team is anchored in Team Continuous Improvement. This is an international team specialized in GMS, Project Management, Resilience and Aftersales characterized by high ambitions, informal atmosphere, and core capability of creating followership.

What we look for

We expect you to have +5 years of experience with Lean transformations from a large production company, where you have used various tools such as Daily Management, problem solving, Kaizen events, and polity deployment.

It is a requirement you have experience in either supply chain management or manufacturing. You have a good understanding of medical devise manufacturing processes and admin processes to identify improvement potential.

You have a strategic mindset and are used to working with facilitation and change management to transform line managers into ambassadors. You take pride in achieving measurable results in process improvement, business results and people’s mindset. You have a natural authority which makes people want to follow your guidance. You thrive in an environment that allows for individual initiative. And you are a brilliant door opener moving around the organization doing stakeholder management.
