Then maybe it is you randstad is looking for on behalf of our client KemPharm for the position as IT Sr. Manager.
In the role of IT Sr. Manager, you will serve as a key member of the IT Steering Committee developing and implementing the IT strategy and framework to support the ongoing growth of the KemPharm global organization. You will be responsible for developing, directing and managing the KemPharm IT organization as well as processes, services, and technologies.
It will be within your area of responsibility to develop and maintain a 3-4 years’ IT strategy to support the business. You will also ensure the implementation of a cohesive, lean IT architecture with focus on global integrated applications and limited local systems.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for protecting KemPharm’s computers, networks, and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses or attacks by cybercriminals
- Collaborate with stakeholders and business units on goals and projects that satisfy business, functional and operational objectives
- Stay current on industry trends and recent technologies to recommend initiatives for improvements and growth
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
- Ensure healthy operations by monitoring and reporting IT services and systems
- Manage service level standards and ensure all platform activities are carried out in accordance with organization change control, technical policies, best practices, and standards
- Drive efficiencies through continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and practices
- Responsible for the IT budget and focus on cost of running operations, including management of external IT consultants and collaboration partners
You will report to the Vice President/Corporate Controller and work closely with all business units, locations, and department heads.
This is an opportunity to embark on an exciting journey to further grow KemPharm on the European market. You will have as much support as needed and will be empowered to decide on their way forwards within your area.
The current projects and what you can expect to take control of will be:
- Data Migration
- Compliance with GDPR
- Control Map implementation
- Manage IT Helpdesk staff for entire organization
- Office network and domain migration
- Database Management
As the right candidate for the position, you have a high level in English, both written and spoken. You are able to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. With your strong service-oriented skills, you are capable of setting and managing customer expectations. Furthermore, you have excellent project management skills meaning that organizing and planning comes easily to you.
Furthermore, you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related business degree with an IT focus
- Minimum 5-7 years building IT quality systems and knowledge of IT regulatory compliance
- 1-3 years of experience in GDPR compliance
- Minimum 5-7 years leading and developing an IT organization
- Minimum 5-7 years managing projects; PMP certification a plus
It would be an advantage if you have experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical and an understanding of regulatory and GXP requirements
KemPharm is a clinical-stage specialty pharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of proprietary prodrugs that are designed to be improved versions of widely prescribed, approved drugs.
KemPharm utilizes its proprietary LAT technology to generate improved prodrug versions of FDA-approved drugs as well as to generate prodrug versions of existing compounds that may have applications for new disease indications.
KemPharm’s internal focus is on developing prodrugs in the ADHD/attention deficit disorder, central nervous system disorders, and pain management spaces. However, any area where gaps in treatment combined with patent expirations offers an opportunity for prodrug technologies to improve drug performance and capture market share.
