Sports Group Denmark is a Danish wholesale sportswear company, which was established in 2012. We represent more than 25 brands – both international brands as well as brands designed and developed by Sports Group Denmark, and since the beginning we have become one of the largest and most successful companies within the sporting goods industry. When designing and creating our collections we always keep competitive prices in mind and our
big passion is to combine quality with functionality and trends for the consumers to have the best possible performance when wearing one of our many brands. Our collections are
sold in approximately 3000 stores mainly in Europe. The head quarter is placed in Silkeborg, Denmark, and we have further 10 offices throughout Europe and China.

We are looking for a Country Manager to build our new sales organization in France and thereby strengthen our position in the sports and fashion industry in this area. You will be responsible for sales in the French territory and have a close co-operation with your colleagues at our head office in Denmark.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Build strong sales organization in France
  • Collaborate with senior management at the head office on strategic initiatives
  • Be responsible for showroom in Paris
  • Plan and participate in selected sporting goods fairs and other sales activities in France
  • Manage marketing and sales strategies to increase brand recognition and awareness
  • Build relationships with customers, retailers, and suppliers
  • Create and implement effective business plans
  • Develop effective action plans and opportunities for expansion of business
  • Develop team through coaching, training, and motivation
  • Manage budgets
  • Maintain and monitor pricing strategies, compare competitor pricing, and establish prices
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Manage purchasing and develop/maintain long-term supplier relationship
  • Around 20 days of travel a year must be expected

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant educational background or a strong practical experience from the sporting goods market
  • Great knowledge on the French sporting goods marketplace
  • Experienced IT user (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communications skills in French and English both written and verbally
  • Experience in leading, coaching and building sales teams

PLACE OF WORK: Paris preferably (But flexible for other cities)
