Maersk is looking for an individual with strong commercial drive, customer orientation and leadership to join our Nordic Team as Integrated Head of Sales. This is an exciting career opportunity to work in a multinational, Global 500 company that makes global trade happen. We are targeting significant growth in Nordic and our Sales Leader will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

The Sales Leader will be responsible for driving and delivering business and sales targets, advancing both our Ocean and in particular our Logistics growth agenda, formulating and executing Sales strategies and developing individual sales account plans as well as challenging and guiding a team towards top performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize sales activities, lead and drive performance to ensure volume and revenue targets are met.

  • Develop local differentiators and value propositions.

  • Formulate a qualified business plan to support delivering targets.

  • Partner with various stakeholder teams to further enhance collaboration and facilitate the cooperation.

  • Stay on top of the business and market signals and guide the team to secure both long term and short term opportunities.

  • Work closely with Logistics product and Ocean management teams to ensure customer needs and market intelligence are updated and communicated. Conduct regular discussions on commercial approach (pricing or deployment) in response to customer needs and the market situation.

  • Ensure sales systems and reporting are precise and up-to date for management tracking, analysis and planning.

  • Provide strong leadership and coaching to the team. Create a high performing team with a motivating environment to attract and retain talents, resulting in a top quartile engagement culture.

  • Oversee team development, upskilling team’s knowledge and expertise in the various Logistics products offered


Who we are looking for

  • You have market knowledge and proven track record in the Nordic BCO market

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years’ work experience in a commercial role within the logistics and supply chain industries

  • Breadth of managerial expertise to lead, engage and develop people

  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and offer mutually beneficial solutions

  • Supply chain expertise (to optimize Maersk share across products), solution selling, and inter-personal skills (stakeholder management, influencing skills)

  • Negotiation skills/procurement experience

  • Logistics product understanding including how to solve different customer pain points

  • Strategic partnering, financial acumen, matrix management, value co-creator, presentation skills

  • Fluency in English.
