Danske Commodities (DC) has been active in the APAC region since 2018 and physically present in the region since 2021, from our office in Singapore. Global expansion is a main pillar in our corporate strategy and APAC is identified as a key geography, which means this position is an important strategic role for us.Your areas of responsibility will include the following:Your areas of responsibility will include the following:
  • set the strategic direction and ensure execution of the strategy in alignment with DC executive leadership
  • take responsibility for product implementation and new market entries, including own trading responsibility and execution in selected markets
  • support our parent company Equinor’s energy transition ambitions by working closely with Equinor stakeholders in the region.

  • maintain and further strengthen the DC culture, while ensuring employee motivation and the right strategic focus

Now, we want to expand and grow our business activities in the region.The APAC Power Trading team is responsible for trading the Australian power market and the upcoming market entries in Japan and New Zealand. The team is also responsible for development and implementation of new products while ensuring a strong stakeholder management and inclusion throughout the value chain.As you will be working with power trading in a growth market , we imagine that you thrive on working with people in a highly dynamic environment.   • have experience with power trading and business development in the energy industry combined with an understanding of financial instruments/power derivatives
  • have leadership experience – or as a minimum leadership aspirations
