We are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a diverse organization of approximately 150 specialists within mechanical, electrical and structural building and industrial design. The role includes direct line management of 8 heads of discipline and overall people responsibility for Buildings & Industry Design West.
You will have people responsibility across five offices in Aalborg, Aarhus, Vejle, Esbjerg and Odense, working closely with heads of discipline, project managers, technical directors and business development to drive business performance, technical excellence and a strong professional environment.
Buildings & Industry West works very closely with Buildings & Industry East, and together we form Denmark’s largest consultancy within Buildings & Industry. In addition, the organization collaborates closely with colleagues in our design centres in Chennai and Vilnius, ensuring robust cross-border cooperation and knowledge sharing.
As Head of Engineering, you will join the senior leadership team within Buildings & Industry West, where we work with a focused approach to collaboration, shared responsibility and continuous improvement. In the role as Head of Engineering, you will:
- Guide and role model according to ’s values and leadership behaviors, creating a collaborative and inclusive culture
- Support optimal project delivery and consistent financial performance by ensuring the right competencies are available, resolving technical challenges and participating in customer and senior project meetings
- Translate growth plans and strategic goals into concrete resource and organizational plans together with other units and design centre managers
- Supervise, spar with and manage the performance of your team of heads of discipline, ensuring their ability to perform and grow
- Build engagement and enable a motivated, diverse, and inclusive organization with a dedicated focus on professional and personal development, positioning for sustainable growth within Buildings & Industry Design.

- An academic degree in engineering, such as mechanical, electrical or structural engineering, and extensive experience from a consultancy or engineering environment
- Solid leadership experience in empowering team and individual improvement
- Professional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
