Are you eager to use your scientific skills and expertise in preclinical research? Gubra is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced pharmacology scientist to join our in vivo Pharmacology Research team. We support our Contract Research Organization (CRO) business as well as internal and partnered drug discovery projects by conducting a broad variety of pharmacology studies.
About the job
As scientist, you will coordinate studies as study director or principal investigator for our highly specialized preclinical CRO studies. Depending on qualifications you may support our project leaders in designing and coordinating the pharmacology studies necessary to progress Gubra’s discovery projects or partnered programs.
Pharmacology Research is a cross-functional area consisting of animal caretakers, laboratory technicians and scientists working with rodent and minipig models. Our current scientific focus is primarily metabolic and/or fibrotic diseases, including models of nephropathies, obesity, and pulmonary fibrosis.

Pharmacology Research is a cross-functional area consisting of animal caretakers, laboratory technicians and scientists working with rodent and minipig models. Our current scientific focus is primarily metabolic and/or fibrotic diseases, including models of nephropathies, obesity, and pulmonary fibrosis.
Your tasks:
- Mainly you will be coordinating preclinical studies within our contract research business as study director or principal investigator. This includes:
- Aligning deliverables and timelines with relevant departments.
- Reporting data to customers and internal stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- In addition, the right candidate will contribute to our internal projects by designing and coordinating pharmacology studies in drug discovery projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Professional qualifications:
- PhD degree and relevant work experience from life science, preferable from biotech or pharma industry.
- Experience with development of preclinical models for evaluation of new therapeutics.
- A scientific knowledge preferably within obesity, metabolic and/or fibrotic diseases.
- Experience with project coordination.
