Are you eager to use your skills and expertise within laboratory animal science? Gubra is expanding and we are looking for an attending veterinarian to join our team of 4 veterinarians in Pharmacology Research. The veterinary team supports our Contract Research Organization (CRO) business as well as internal and partnered drug discovery projects by promoting Culture of Care and providing veterinary medical care, and surgical services to research animals.
Pharmacology Research is a cross-functional area consisting of animal care takers, laboratory technicians, veterinarians and scientists working with disease models in mice, rats and minipigs. Our current scientific focus is primarily within metabolic and/or fibrotic diseases, including models of MASH, nephropathies, obesity, and pulmonary fibrosis.

Your tasks:
Your main task is to participate in clinical veterinary duties, which include:
- Overseeing the health and wellbeing of our animals.
- Develop plans for treatment and supportive care.
- Perform euthanasia, routine gross necropsies, and sample collections.
- Assist in health monitoring of our facility.
In addition, you will provide veterinary and administrative support to:
- Regulatory requirements including maintaining our AAALAC accreditation.
- Authoring written responses to costumer welfare assessments.
- Writing/updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Depending on your qualifications, you will have the opportunity to be part of our surgical team. This may include different tasks related to anaesthesia, surgeries, and post-operative care in rodents and minipigs.
Professional qualifications:
- You are a qualified veterinarian with Danish authorization.
- FELASA course function ABD is a requirement.
- Preferably, you have biomedicine differentiation as educational background.
- Previous work experience as veterinarian within Laboratory Animal Science.

- Build and maintain strong professional and collaborative relationships.
- Proactive and able to initiate, focus and deliver on target.
