As a Senior Cyber Architect, you will lead on designing security into our DevOps and platform capabilities in our highly distributed global business for site, fleet, asset and IoT connectivity, required to deliver against our strategy. You will be exposed to a broad and challenging range of needs and opportunities requiring you to engage closely with stakeholders across all levels within Maersk as you mature and evolve our DevOps and platform security capabilities to become world-class.

This is a hybrid role, where ideally you’ll be required to come into the office once every 1-2 weeks. However, if you prefer, you are welcome to come in more frequently.

While we aren’t offering relocation assistance, this role can be based in any of the following locations: Maidenhead, UK; Copenhagen, Denmark; Bangalore, or Pune. Applicants will be evaluated based on the country in which they have applied.

You’ll be responsible for Secure Architectural design at Maersk and be the one who brings security to the forefront in all technology projects. You will have a deep understanding of various Cyber Security areas like Network Security, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, and more, so you can make informed decisions about the best security solutions for the organisation.

You'll be working with stakeholders across the different platforms to ensure their solutions are secure by design and meet Maersk's security policies. To do this, you'll need to be able to articulate your ideas and sell the benefits of your knowledge and experience. And you'll be documenting your decision-making process to ensure that everyone understands the thought behind the security design.

You'll also be working closely with the Platform Architecture and Cyber product teams to ensure the Cyber Security product roadmaps are aligned with the secure design and that the organisation stays ahead of the curve. You'll be watching for new technology and security techniques and helping to create the security roadmaps that will guide the organisation towards a safer future. Scope

Maersk’s IT estate is moving from a predominantly on-premises environment to one mainly in the Cloud. We are now building Cloud-native solutions and must apply security properly. The Cyber Architect should have relevant skills and experience in a similar environment.

• Develop and maintain the Security architecture, blueprints and patterns for relevant platforms.
• Evaluating and recommending security solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement security measures that meet business needs.
• Staying current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry standards (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS etc.).
• Knowledge of designing Infrastructure as code security policies and Security as code.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Service Mesh and Container security measures
• Creating and enforcing Cloud security policies using CASB and CSPM solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicating security risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to Platform teams on Secure design.
• Continuously improving the organisation’s security posture through regular assessments and implementation of best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
