Resposibilities:

- Participate in establishing EU reference laboratory, mainly be responsible for capability related to techniques, including preparation of facilities and consumables and methodology validation;
- Prepare technical documents;
- Supervise and train technicians to perform test and troubleshooting;
- Provide scientific and technical assistance to the Commission, the Medical Device Coordination Group, the Member States and notified bodies;
- Provide scientific advice regarding the state of the art;
- Contribute to the development of appropriate testing and analysis methods for conformity assessment and market surveillance;
- Provide recommendations on suitable reference materials and reference measurement procedures of higher metrological order;
- Contribute to the development of common specifications and of international standards.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in microbiology, virology, pathology, molecular biology, etc., preferably with postdoctoral experience
- 3 years or above related professional research experience, virology research experience is preferred
- Familiar with common technology and procedure for hepatitis virus test
- Be familiar with ISO17025 or ISO 15189 quality system
- Working experience in a reference laboratory will be a huge advantage;
- Fluency in English is a must
