We have vast experience as an air cargo and ACMI operator, currently operating and managing a fleet consisting of +/-20 Boeing freighters with bases in Cologne and Leipzig, Germany, and Billund, Denmark. The fleet of aircraft will soon be expanded with 2 Boeing 777 freighters to support our long-haul operation.

What you'll be doing:

You will play a crucial role in optimizing workforce utilization and ensuring efficient deployment of technical personnel. This position requires a strong background in operations research, workforce planning, and a deep understanding of technical roles to facilitate the organization's strategic goals. Tasks will include:

Workforce Planning:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current and future manpower needs for technical positions.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to understand the technical skill requirements for different roles.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive workforce plan aligned with business objectives.

Demand Forecasting:

  • Utilize operations research methodologies to predict future demand for technical personnel.
  • Analyze historical data and business forecasts to determine staffing needs.
  • Implement models to optimize staffing levels based on demand fluctuations.

Capacity Planning:

  • Evaluate the organization's current technical workforce capacity.
  • Identify gaps between current capacity and future demand.
  • Develop strategies to address capacity shortfalls and optimize resource allocation.

Optimization Strategies:

  • Devise and implement strategies for efficient workforce utilization.
  • Recommend adjustments to staffing levels based on workload variations.
  • Optimize resource allocation to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Data-driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage data analytics tools to derive insights into workforce performance.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the effectiveness of workforce planning strategies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with HR, department managers, and other stakeholders to align workforce planning with organizational goals.
  • Communicate workforce plans and recommendations effectively to all relevant parties.

  • Proficient in applying operations research techniques to workforce planning.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Ability to get In-depth understanding of technical roles and skills.
  • Ability to align workforce planning with the organization's technical requirements.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to think strategically and align workforce planning with organizational goals.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and challenges related to workforce management.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex workforce planning concepts to diverse audiences.

Collaboration:

  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and department heads.

Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and adjust workforce plans accordingly.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Technology Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with workforce management software, data analytics tools and other relevant system, e.g. Lessor Workforce.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research or related field.
  • Advantage with proven experience in workforce planning, with a focus on technical roles or in the aviation industry.
  • Experience with implementation of new workforce planning tool e.g. Lessor Workforce
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Candidates must be fluent in Danish and be able to work and reside in Denmark without company sponsorship
