A significant contributor and confident leader
In your new role as Vice President for Global Operations Quality, you will be located in our headquarters in Smørum, Denmark.
You will be responsible for the quality in our production, packaging, and distribution as well as the Medical Device Compliance in our Operation sites together with the local management group.
On top of that you can look forward to having an important and significant role across Quality and Operations ensuring that we always deliver high quality products to the market. You will be accountable for all improvement deliveries, people management, supplier quality management, and Quality strategic direction on our sites in Ballerup (DK), Mierzyn (PL), Kitchener (CA), Somerset (US) and Tijuana (MX).
Currently, your group consists of 140 employees in 4 levels located in the above-mentioned sites. Besides developing the group, a key part of the accountability is non-conformity, exemptions handling and engineering change orders in our production sites.
Alongside, you will be responsible for identifying and encouraging innovation projects related to regulatory changes and business risks regarding compliance.
You will provide direction and clarity on a strategic and operational level within your own function and towards external stakeholders. You will plan and optimize resources to meet agreed deliveries including seeking efficiencies and potential cost optimizations.
You report to the Senior Vice President of Quality, and you are a member of both the Quality and Operations leadership teams.
As we are working in a global set up, you should work effortlessly in English on all levels.
Travel activity is part of the role, and you can expect app. 100 days travel annually.
Developing strategies in a global context
To be successful in this role, you should be proficient in managing daily key activities in your own group and sites. You are a motivating and experienced people leader that has experience with driving strategies in a global context and understand how to lead and ensure deliveries across several locations. Significant experience with a complex regulatory environment is a prerequisite.
You have 10+ years’ experience within quality and operations management from an international or Danish multi-site set-up, and possibly from the medical device industry.
Analytical mindset and solid management skills
You possess great interpersonal skills and naturally build trust and genuine relations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You consider yourself a solid leader and get energy by meeting both internal and external customers and business contacts. Furthermore, you possess a strategic mindset and can keep your head cool in busy times without losing the overall perspective.
You are well structured and can create a sense of urgency thereby ensuring that the deliveries hit the deadlines. Finally, you can nurture a “high quality”-culture within your area and can set direction for a “One Team” behavior.
