Commercial Asset Manager, Brazil

Your new team

You will join our skilled Commercial Asset Management team who is currently consisting of 22 colleagues, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, and Lithuania. The team is taking the front role in the commercial management of our renewable energy projects from the commencement of operations. One of the team’s main goals is the optimization of the operating assets throughout their lifespan.

You will be based remotely and/or in our office in Recife, Brazil together with two Technical Asset Managers and five other colleagues working with finance, project development, health and safety, and construction of projects.

Your new role

As our new Commercial Asset Manager, you will coordinate and handle all commercial aspects concerning the assets’ commercial and financial operation, meeting the contracts’ requirements with the stakeholders. You will assist in the further development of our asset management function and create solid long-term client relationships.

Areas of responsibility

• You manage and optimize commercial agreements and relationships with stakeholders - invoicing and controlling the payments when necessary.
• You control and manage revenue and negotiation of balancing responsible partner agreements.
• You manage insurance policies under European Energy’s framework agreement.
• You prepare SPV’s yearly budgets, with cashflow overview aligned with financial statements and accounting principles, and with client targets.
• You act as a liaison with accountant/tax consultant to comply with statutory requirements.
• You identify and manage risks associated with our operating portfolio, employing strategies to mitigate potential losses.
• You provide stakeholders with regular updates, communicating and aligning SPV strategies, addressing all concerns and/or queries.
• You maintain an update on industry trends, policies, strategies, and products that might affect the operation of an Asset.

To succeed in this position, we imagine

• You have a bachelor’s, master’s or similar degree within Finance, Economy, Science & Technology or Engineering.
• You have relevant work experience in the area, for example as an Asset Manager, Business Controller, Power Plant Manager, Financial Controller, or similar.
• You have knowledge of utility-scale generation from power plants and PPA contracts.
• You are a superuser in Excel.
• You work freely, effectively, and thrive in taking responsibility.
• You have good negotiating and stakeholder management skills.
• You possess professional communication skills in Portuguese and English.

Location: Recife, Brazil – or alternatively remotely. If working remotely, you should be willing to travel to Recife at least once a month.
