Blue Waters Treasury department now offers an exciting opportunity.

The Treasury department is currently seeking a Treasury Specialist to support our strategic growth ambitions. We are looking for someone passionate about managing risk, balancing financial portfolios, and optimizing liquidity within the Blue Water group.

The Global Treasury team consists of 7 full-time employees and 2 student assistants, collectively responsible for overall liquidity- and cash management and financial risk coverage for all Blue Waters subsidiaries. The department is characterized by a high degree of globalization, with team members spanning across borders in Esbjerg (HQ), Istanbul, and Guyana.

As a part of the Treasury team, you will collaborate across the entire Blue Water organization, acting as a crucial business partner. Additionally, you will build relationships and collaborate with various external partners, such as banks, financial institutions and other stakeholders related to Treasury.

A significant global impact

With an international presence spanning over more than 30 countries worldwide and operations in many more, the role will have a significant global impact, involving interactions with diverse cultures. Blue Water, with a turnover of more than EUR 1.2 billion, has recently launched a growth strategy, where Treasury plays a key role in supporting the goals for successful strategy implementation and daily operations.

Responsibilities include liquidity optimization, risk management, and analysis, with specific tasks such as:

  • Bank guarantee management
  • Supply Chain Management administration
  • Currency hedging for group liquidity
  • Oversight and approval of group payments
  • Bank management (setup, authorizations, and policies)
  • Setting up and maintaining bank integrations, cash management solutions, third-party integrations, etc.
  • Intercompany funding and interest calculation on group loans
  • Project Management consultant on larger capital projects
  • Credit analysis of customers
  • Daily liquidity positions and cash flow forecasting
  • Group capital structure
  • KYC/AML towards with financial institutions and business partners

You will also act as a confidential partner to the Head of Treasury and other leaders within the organization.

The position can be tailored to fit the candidate's profile.

Experience in liquidity optimization

We expect candidates to have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in a larger international company. Experience in liquidity optimization and financial risk management is essential. Your educational background could include a master's degree or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or another relevant economic education. Alternatively, you may be currently employed in a financial institution with knowledge of lending and risk management.

You are an experienced IT user and communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally. Most importantly, you have the desire and determination to succeed at Blue Water in your role.

This position will either be based in Esbjerg at our Headquarters or in Istanbul, Türkiye.

You will report to Head of Group Treasury, Peter Lund Holm ,who can be contacted for further inquiries.
