Country Finance Manager and Motion Business Area Controller – Denmark

Serving as the key partner for the Business ensuring that all fiduciary requirements are duly met and complied with, you will be the manager of the finance team in Denmark. Join us as Country Finance Manager for the Motion Business Area where you will be ensuring that ABB operates in compliance with all applicable fiduciary and regulatory requirements across the Country for all of ABB. Coordinating and leading the Country Finance organization to ensure consistency, expertise, and dedicated focus to fiduciary and regulatory matters. In this role you will also provide key support to the Motion business. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.

Your responsibilities
- Ensure that all fiduciary requirements are duly met and complied with
- Responsible for compliance with all applicable local fiduciary finance requirements overseeing compliance with local statutory GAAP, local reporting, internal controls, legal and tax requirements, with support provided by global and local functional organization, local business leaders or ABB Services
- Supports the Group as required in developing financial, tax and treasury strategies
- Coordinates the legal structure, ownership, capital adequacy/thin cap, dividends distribution, fiscal/statutory requirements etc., in close collaboration with global and local leadership of the relevant teams
- Facilitates the external audit processes with external auditors, coordinating across Business Area/Divisions in collaboration with designated external audit coordination processes and models designed by the Group
- Together with local business and teams, defines and implements the Local Authorization Tables (LAT) & authorized signatories for compliance with local regulations
- Encourage collaboration amongst local finance organisation across businesses and ABB Services
- Responsible for Real Estate and supports trade compliance activities in the country
- General fiduciary oversight in the case of acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments
- Support the ABB Way Finance Transformation Program as country sponsor for Denmark
- Member of the Board of Directors for Denmark
- Drive profitable growth in the Local Business Area
- Responsible for Business Controlling in Motion Business Area
- Partnering with the Business Manager to drive profitable growth
Your background
- Master’s degree, CA, CPA or MBA in Finance
- At least 10 years including several years at senior Finance level
- Proven ability to work with internal and external (non-customer) stakeholders, such as tax authorities, government institutions, associations, auditors, etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, collaborative style, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels and comfortable with uncertain and evolving situations
- Country specific reporting standards and governance experience will be an advantage
