Finance Manager – develop and head a new team

At ABB, we provide technologies, solutions and services across a very wide span of areas that is a foundation for the green transition. Wind and solar power, Power-to-X, electrical infrastructure, electrical car charging and green energy storage just to mention a few. As Finance Manager you are a key partner to the head of local businesses and to the international financial organization within the business area; Electrification. You manage the financial operations of 5 divisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and as part of this match numbers with the overall strategy. Are we on target? If not, what do the numbers tell? Where shall we focus to maximise value and support our growth strategy etc.? You shall develop and head a new team counting a Business Controller, a Finance Analyst and a Financial Assistant. Your focus will be business controlling and financial controlling. As a support to your daily tasks you will have Centre of Excellence. You and your team primarily handle the local business related tasks. Ideally, you will be based in Skovlunde together with the VP but Middelfart is an option as well. At all locations, we have hybrid workplace with great flexibility.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and head a new team that mirrors the classic ABB culture of helpfulness, knowledge sharing and room for having fun together
- Ensure high quality deliverables across financial reporting, business planning and forecasting
- Act as sparring partner and advisor to the Vice President and the management team regarding business performance
- Optimize global processes, templates and tools to match local business needs
- Ensure Internal controls and compliance
- Build relations and facilitate collaboration with our international business service centers
Your background
- A Master’s degree in economics, accounting or similar
- At least two years of experience within finance
- Experience in collaborating with a multitude of business areas and people
- The ability to translate finance lingo into easy understandable messages to people without a background in finance
- Motivation for positive people management
- Motivation to work with SAP
