[xxxxx] is looking for a Pedagogical Coordinator (PCO)

The PCO acts as a link among the department's local pedagogical management, faculty, and various other stakeholders (such as students and external partners). Taking the department’s various pedagogical development initiatives and activities as the offset, the PCO will facilitate pedagogical development in accordance with the profile and focus areas of the department. The PCO will work closely with the Head of Academic Support, Development and Student Success and will refer to the Executive Vice President. The full-time position includes activities such as:

• Delivering the department’s pedagogical course for all faculty members
• Course management for pedagogy of new faculty members
• Development, planning, and delivery of onboarding courses for new faculty members
• Development, planning, and implementation of special pedagogical initiatives
• Supervision of new employees
• Supervision of employees who want pedagogical assistance
• Collaboration with management, including participation in relevant meetings and conferences
• Development of the department’s pedagogical knowledge sharing

The PCO holds a relevant postgraduate degree in pedagogy and 1/3 of the employment will be teaching one of our courses within business, computer science or academic writing.

Employment
Employment will be secured as per collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the AC trade union.

The requirements for the position
The requirements for this position are that you possess:

A relevant master's degree, at a minimum.

The ability to speak and write English fluently (Danish is not a requirement.) Note that conversational English capability differs from mastery of the language at a sufficiently high level to teach in an academic setting. This position demands exceptionally strong English language speaking and writing skills.

Relevant college-level teaching experience; research experience is a plus.

Danish work and residence permits.

A talent for cultural understanding and working cooperatively with a diverse group of colleagues and students from not only Europe and Asia but from all over the world.

You are an experienced teacher who genuinely enjoys interacting with adult international students. In addition to excellent communicative skills, you have a keen eye for details and deadlines as well as a natural focus on continuous improvement.
