Food Folk, the operating company of McDonald’s in the Nordics, is committed to advancing the sustainability agenda and ensuring the implementation of McDonald’s Nordics sustainability strategy. Consequently, they are seeking to expand their team by hiring a structured and organized Impact Coordinator who is passionate about sustainability.

For the driven and ambitious candidate, this position not only offers an opportunity to utilize administrative and coordination skills. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders both within and outside the team to deliver impactful results and play a pivotal role in driving the sustainability agenda forward.

Play a key role in supporting, delivering and embedding Food Folk’s Nordic sustainability strategy


As Impact Coordinator, you become part of the Impact Team characterized by a startup culture.

The Impact team is responsible for delivering and embedding the McDonald’s Nordic sustainability strategy and driving high quality communications both across the corporate organization and in the restaurants with the team and engaging with external stakeholders to deliver on brand goals and build trust.

The Impact team coordinator will play a key role in supporting the team in achieving key targets and outcomes.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist and represent the team in cross-functional projects.
  • Support the delivery of key Impact projects, ex., annual supplier sustainability summit, media reporting, establishment, and management of the Impact portal.
  • Create and update a Gantt chart that tracks the progress of ESG initiatives against planned timelines. Regularly review and adjust the chart as needed to reflect any changes in priorities or deadlines.
  • Develop templates for meeting agendas and notes to ensure consistency.
  • Distribute agendas well in advance and take comprehensive notes during meetings, highlighting action items and responsibilities.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks (e.g., calendar management assistance, team meetings requirements, travel and event planning, general coordination, finance and expense management, preparation of meeting materials, presentations).
  • Support various ad hoc admin and other tasks in the Impact organization.
  • Creating presentations using e.g. PowerPoint.

Ambitious professional with strong communication skills and experience with coordinating or administrative roles


You have a relevant educational degree and at least two years of experience in administrative or coordinating roles and are characterized by being a highly organized individual. Your history includes successfully leading projects from start to finish with a structured, and analytical approach. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential due to the role’s extensive contact points.

You should also demonstrate eagerness to learn and develop within sustainability, along with self-motivation, adaptability, and reliability.
