Howden Turbo in Helsingør is looking for an innovative business developer to maximise our rapidly expanding business within marine compression applications. The Marine Business Development Manager will lead the sales execution of our current portfolio while further expanding the product offerings for marine compression.

The right candidate will bring to the position a thorough understanding of the marine industry, in-depth experience with marine component sales, knowledge of the competitive environment, and familiarity with customer requirements.
We would like you to possess solid business development skills combined with the drive and motivation to build a new business area to rapidly gain customers, maximising the growth of our marine portfolio within new markets and driving revenues.

To become successful, you should:

  • Define, drive and lead the implementation of the sales strategy for the marine products in close collaboration with current sales channels, strategic partners and the Howden sales organisation.

  • Identify new revenue-generating opportunities through key account management and sales channels such as referrals and partnerships.

  • Ensure effective communication within the sales team and with all key stakeholders.

  • Manage and report accurate forecasts and pipeline to the business, including understanding the competitive landscape, presence and strength within the different market segments.

  • Achieve annual sales goals based on quarterly and annual evaluations.

  • Build efficient working relationships with Technical Support, Professional Services & Marketing.


Your work location will be in Helsingør, Denmark, and the expected travel days per year are 40-50.

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has the following:

  • Multiple years of cross-functional technology business and sales experience.

  • A relevant educational background.

  • Extensive track record of new business sales success, including presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Strong strategic thinking, including analytical and financial planning skills, to meet and exceed quotas and goals.

  • Experience in driving sales processes and efficient working relationships with Sales Operations.

  • Ability to understand the 'bigger picture and business drivers around the products.

  • Ability to build long-term strategic and senior-level relationships.

  • Ability to adapt and work effectively within a rapidly changing and growing environment.

  • Strong business and financial acumen


Additionally, you have superior technical English skills. Additional language skills, preferably German, are considered an advantage.
