Are you eager to use your scientific skills in preclinical research and do you want to expand your knowledge within formulation of drug candidates? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Gubra.
Gubra is expanding and looking for a scientist to join our Formulation department working with formulation of drug candidates for in vivo pharmacology experiments for our Contract Research Organization (CRO) and in-house and partnered drug discovery projects.
The Formulation department supports our business by delivering formulation of drug candidates of various modalities (peptides, antibodies, small molecules etc) to be tested in Gubra’s preclinical rodent and minipig models within the metabolic and/or fibrotic disease areas. The department also assists with preparation of model inducers, treatment water etc and supports sales and pharmacology scientists with formulation expertise, i.e. reference compound, vehicle knowledge and formulation procedures. The department consists of 1 scientist and 4 laboratory technicians working closely together and with other departments.

As our new scientist, your tasks will include:
- Solving formulation responsible scientist tasks, including review of study protocols, troubleshooting and optimization of test compound formulation procedures.
- Laboratory work, e.g., prepare formulations of drug candidates for in vivo pharmacology experiments.
- Building up experience with different vehicles and excipients and knowledge of guidelines for in vivo formulations.
- Providing sales, study directors and drug discovery projects with formulation expertise in the planning and execution of pharmacological studies.
- Help and guide laboratory technicians regarding formulation and logistics.
Professional qualifications:
- MSc or PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences or similar, preferably with relevant experience with preclinical formulation as well as stability and solubility measurements.
- Great execution and collaboration skills.
- Good communication skills in both Danish and English, and fluent in Danish.
- A genuine interest and preferably work experience with formulation of peptides and/or small molecules.
- Have strong analytical skills and enjoy scientific challenges.
- Are committed to high quality data handling and reporting of data.
- Experience with e.g. CAD, HPLCs and spectrometry in general (e.g. Nanodrop) is an advantage but not a necessity.
As a person you:
- Are proactive and able to initiate, focus and master fast execution.
- Are great at planning, structured and comfortable working with deadlines.
- Have a quality mindset.
- Are able to navigate in an energetic and dynamic organization with both scientists and laboratory technicians.
