is expanding and looking for a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join Gubra. The Legal Counsel will play a critical role in providing legal guidance and support across various aspects of our business, with a focus on contract management, compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as general legal guidance and support. Furthermore, the Legal Counsel will on an ad hoc basis support our BD and M&A activities as well as undertake the responsibilities of a Data Protection officer (DPO). Reporting to Chief Business Officer, you will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization. This position offers flexibility, with the possibility of being either full-time or part-time.

Primary tasks
- Contract Management: Responsible for reviewing and processing standard commercial and academic contracts e.g. CDA, MSA, MTA, data processing agreements, as well as preparing and finalizing Work Orders in the CRO business.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the CRO/biotech sector as well as Danish and EU legislation in general.
- Data protection officer (DPO): Responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations and overseeing the data protection policies, procedures, and practices to safeguard the privacy and security of personal data and ensure compliance with GDPR.
- BD and M&A activities: support the BD and M&A team ad hoc and help coordinate the work of external legal counsel in due diligence processes and negotiations.
- General legal guidance and support: Provide general legal guidance and support within e.g. HR, IT, ESG, and marketing. Support organization in developing and implementing policies and procedures where relevant.
Desired skills professional and personal qualifications
- Hold a master’s degree in law or business administration combined with Law (e.g Danish cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.)
- Have minimum 3-5 years of experience from working in a law firm, a large company, Venture Capital or tech transfer – ideally within life science
- Comfortable working within many different Fields of Expertise
- Structured and detail-oriented person with hands-on approach
- Flexible and able to comply with deadlines while staying calm and without compromising on quality
- Open-minded and good a cross organizational communication
- Fluent in spoken and written Danish and English
