Are you fascinated by XR technologies? And do you want to make a real difference and create an impact through XR solutions?
VIA University College is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for software development, XR, games, visualization, and 3D-modelling. We are looking for 1 to 2 new colleagues who have experience with the latest technologies in XR development and applications. Experience with visualization and 3D-modelling is a plus.
We have a strong tradition of collaborating with public and private organizations, research institutions, and development environments to educate future software engineers who can add value to the industry and society as a whole.

An R&D Center in rapid growth
You will be associated with VIA’s Software Engineering program and VIA’s R&D center for Built Environment, Energy, Water and Climate. The center’s activities include both local and international projects on sustainability and digital innovation across various industries and sectors. We are currently enhancing our expertise and projects within the XR field and you will be part of driving and contributing to this process. Besides collaborating with top industry leaders and other research institutions, the program also includes a partnership with "The Animation Workshop" in Viborg, which is internationally recognized for educating students in animation, visualization, and digital storytelling.
Job Description
As a part of the research and development team, you will work on various ongoing national and international research projects that require the development of software and XR solutions for visualizing research results to be used for citizen engagement and more. All research projects will be related to software engineering and XR.

You will be a member of an IT community with extensive experience in offering software engineering solutions and teaching. As such, you will have the opportunity to partake in teaching activities across the program.
The position is a part of VIA's R&D center for Built Environment, Energy, Water and Climate, and you will report to the Head of Research and Development.
You will be located at our new campus areas in Horsens with state-of-the-art facilities and modern and collaborative work environments. We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working hours to our employees.
Requirements:
- English/Danish. Danish skills are not mandatory.
- Relevant master's or bachelor's degree
- Ability to work independently on research-related projects
- Strong knowledge of programming and system development
- Experience with XR technologies, and game development
- Skills in 3D modelling, animation and visualization is a benefit
- Willingness to participate in research and development projects with external partners on practical issues through applied research
- Interest in projects related to solving global issues such as climate change

Salary and employment conditions
The position is full-time. Salaries and conditions of employment, including pension arrangements, will be determined in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and the relevant negotiating organisation.
The place of employment is VIA University College, Horsens Campus. However, duties and days on duty may be expected at other locations, when relevant.
